Jun Tsushima, State Minister of Cabinet Office (in charge of disaster management), Inspects “WOTA BOX” Operations at Evacuation Center in Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture
On Thursday, July 30, 2026, WOTA commenced the provision and operation of Portable Water-Regeneration System “WOTA BOX” at an evacuation center in Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture, where approximately 17,800 households continue to experience water outages.
On the same day, Jun Tsushima, State Minister of Cabinet Office (in charge of disaster management), visited the site to inspect the operations.
WOTA will continue to expand its deployment in cooperation with the national government, local municipalities, and relevant organizations to rapidly deliver a sustainable water environment to those affected by the disaster.
