During the Governor of Akita Prefecture’s visit to the disaster-affected areas in Semboku City, we briefed him on the “WOTA BOX” being deployed as an emergency water supply solution.

Governor Suzuki of Akita Prefecture and his delegation visited Semboku City, which was affected by the heavy rain disaster on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

During the governor’s visit, we introduced demonstrated our “WOTA BOX”, a water-recirculating shower system currently in use amid the ongoing water outage. We shared our understanding of the importance of securing domestic water during disasters and explained that providing private shower rooms in evacuation shelters plays a critical role in maintaining hygiene, preventing infectious disease, and protecting privacy.
