Minister of State for Disaster Management Jiro Akama Inspects “WOTA BOX” Operations at Evacuation Center in Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture
On Thursday, August 13, 2026, Jiro Akama, Minister of State for Disaster Management, visited an evacuation center in Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture, where water outages persist, and inspected the Water-Recycling Shower “WOTA BOX.” which is currently installed and in operation at the center.
WOTA will continue to expand its deployment in collaboration with the national government and relevant organizations with the aim of swiftly providing people affected by the disaster with sustainable access to water.
