WOTA participated as an exhibitor at “Nankai Rescue 2024,” held on Thursday, January 16, at the Red Brick Plaza of AEON Mall Sakai Teppōchō.
At the event, in addition to displays of Self-Defense Force water supply equipment and vehicles used during disasters, companies and organizations showcased and demonstrated bathing and water supply facilities designed for emergency situations.

What is “Nankai Rescue 2024”?
“Nankai Rescue 2024” is the largest disaster response training exercise conducted by the JGSDF’s (Japan Ground Self-Defense Force) Middle Army. It is aimed at improving disaster response capabilities while sharing training outcomes with local governments to enhance post-disaster measures. The exercise is conducted in anticipation of a potential massive Nankai Trough earthquake.
The training took place from January 13 to January 17, 2025, focusing on the first 72 hours after a disaster in isolated areas—a critical period for emergency response. Various drills were conducted, with participation from the Ground, Maritime, and Air Self-Defense Forces, as well as government agencies beyond the Ministry of Defense, local municipalities, private companies, organizations, and disaster prevention experts.
