Mr. Maeda introduced our “Small-Scale Decentralized Water Circulation System” for residential use at the 2024 Hiroshima-Ahime Interchange Conference.
The governors of Hiroshima and Ehime Prefecture toured a house where the system had been installed, and tasted drinking water made from treated rainwater.
The “Small-Scale Decentralized Water Recycling System” for residences is a system that recycles nearly 100% of all domestic wastewater, and together with rainwater replenishment, it collects and treats wastewater onsite to make it usable again, allowing people to live their daily lives without relying on existing water and sewage infrastructure. The system is currently being tested in Seiyo City, Iyo City, and Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture, and is scheduled to be tested in Hiroshima Prefecture this fiscal year.
