WOTA’s efforts in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake were mentioned in Prime Minister Ishiba’s video message at GRIC2024.
In a video message from Prime Minister Ishiba broadcast at “GRIC2024” held on Thursday, November 14th, our efforts in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake were mentioned.
Excerpt from the original comment:
“Immediately after taking office, I visited the Noto Peninsula, which was affected by the earthquake and heavy rain. While many people are still forced to endure difficult living conditions, I witnessed the benefits of innovation, such as WOTA’s showers and handwashing units providing clean water in areas where the water supply was cut off.
One of the most important issues for our cabinet is to support “deep tech startups” that utilize Japan’s potential strengths in AI (artificial intelligence), quantum technology, biotechnology, and energy. We will strengthen support to connect research and development with commercialization, expand demand by procuring new services and products for public use, and support globalization. Based on the “Five-Year Plan for Startup Development,” we will fundamentally strengthen policies and realize “Asia’s largest startup hub.”
